Hybrid Organs
Twenty First
technology together with real pipes!
The Rodgers Organ
Company pioneered the development of hybrid organs and, with the
advent of computer driven consoles, now offers the most versatile
and realistic hybrid instruments on the market. A hybrid organ
combines one or more ranks of traditional pipes with the dozens of
ranks available digitally. Pipes can be new or preserved
from a previous organ.
-
Preserve the
Old - Many churches have organs that have served well for
generations. In the past economic demands often meant
bidding farewell to what had become the centerpiece of people's
religious lives. That is no longer necessary! It is
surprisingly economical to build a hybrid which incorporates
some or all of the original system.
-
Add more spatial
presence - adding pipework to a digital organ adds a dimensional
quality much like adding pipework to an existing pipe organ.
-
Add visual
beauty - Whether pipes speak or are merely a facade, well
crafted pipework adds beauty to a sanctuary.
